| 2 tablespoons | coconut oil |
| 2 | medium onions, thinly sliced |
| 1 teaspoon | salt |
| 1 | green chili, slit |
| 1 teaspoon | sugar |
| 1 teaspoon | vinegar |
| 1 tablespoon | coriander leaves, chopped |
Instructions
- 1 Heat the coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 2 Add the thinly sliced onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
- 3 Add the salt and slit green chili, and continue to sauté until the onions are golden brown.
- 4 Stir in the sugar and vinegar, mixing well to combine all the flavors.
- 5 Cook for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring the onions are well caramelized.
- 6 Garnish with chopped coriander leaves before serving.
Tips
For a spicier version, add more green chilies or a pinch of red chili powder.
