Avieel is a meal discovery platform that suggests food combinations based on your preferences, time of day, and location. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to the Avieel service.

  • Preferences — dietary preferences, hometown location, and cuisine preferences you set explicitly.
  • Usage data — combos shown to you, and your like, dislike, or skip actions, used to personalise future suggestions.
  • Location (approximate) — your IP address is used to infer a broad geographic area to surface locally relevant cuisines. We do not store raw IP addresses.
  • Session data — a session cookie is used to maintain your browsing state. No account is required to use the basic features.

3. How we use your information

  • To generate and personalise meal combination suggestions.
  • To remember your preferences across sessions when you are logged in.
  • To improve the overall quality of recommendations across the platform.
  • To respond to contact form messages you send us.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Data retention

Your interaction history (liked, disliked, skipped combos) is stored for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your profile page, which removes all associated data.

Guest session data is not linked to any individual and expires with the session.
