Ingredients

2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
2 cups water
1 cup raw mango, diced
1 cup grated coconut
3 tablespoons jaggery
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoons red chili powder
Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Allow them to splutter.
  2. 2 Add fenugreek seeds and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. 3 Pour in the water and bring it to a boil.
  4. 4 Add the diced raw mango, grated coconut, jaggery, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  5. 5 Stir well and let the mixture simmer until the mangoes are cooked and the flavors meld together.
  6. 6 Adjust the seasoning as needed and serve hot.

Use semi-ripe mangoes for a balanced tangy-sweet flavor.
