Ingredients

1 cup ragi flour
2 cups water
1 cup cooked rice
salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  2. 2 Add salt to the boiling water.
  3. 3 Add the cooked rice to the boiling water and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  4. 4 Gradually add the ragi flour to the pot while continuously stirring to avoid lumps.
  5. 5 Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid.
  6. 6 Let it cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  7. 7 Once the mixture thickens and the ragi is cooked, turn off the heat.
  8. 8 Wet your hands with water and shape the mixture into small balls (mudda) while it is still warm.
  9. 9 Serve the Ragi Mudda hot with a side of spicy curry or dal.

Tips

Ensure to stir the ragi flour continuously while adding to prevent lumps. Serve with ghee for added richness.
