Ingredients
| 1 cup | ragi flour |
| 2 cups | water |
| 1 cup | cooked rice |
| — | salt to taste |
Instructions
- 1 In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- 2 Add salt to the boiling water.
- 3 Add the cooked rice to the boiling water and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- 4 Gradually add the ragi flour to the pot while continuously stirring to avoid lumps.
- 5 Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid.
- 6 Let it cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- 7 Once the mixture thickens and the ragi is cooked, turn off the heat.
- 8 Wet your hands with water and shape the mixture into small balls (mudda) while it is still warm.
- 9 Serve the Ragi Mudda hot with a side of spicy curry or dal.
Tips
Ensure to stir the ragi flour continuously while adding to prevent lumps. Serve with ghee for added richness.
