Ingredients
| 1 cup | whole wheat flour |
| 1 cup | jaggery |
| 1/2 cup | ghee |
| 1/4 cup | poppy seeds |
| 1/4 cup | dry coconut |
| 1/4 cup | cashew nuts |
| 1/4 cup | almonds |
| 1/4 cup | raisins |
| 1 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
Instructions
- 1 Dry roast the whole wheat flour in a pan on low heat until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma. Set aside to cool.
- 2 In the same pan, dry roast the poppy seeds until they start to crackle. Set aside.
- 3 Heat ghee in a pan and fry the cashew nuts and almonds until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- 4 In the remaining ghee, add the grated dry coconut and fry until golden. Set aside.
- 5 Melt the jaggery in a separate pan with a little water until it forms a syrup. Strain to remove any impurities.
- 6 In a large mixing bowl, combine the roasted wheat flour, poppy seeds, fried nuts, fried coconut, raisins, and cardamom powder.
- 7 Pour the jaggery syrup over the mixture and mix well to form a dough-like consistency.
- 8 Shape the mixture into small, round balls (laddus) while it is still warm.
- 9 Allow the Antina Unde to cool completely before serving.
Tips
Ensure the jaggery syrup is of a sticky consistency to help bind the ingredients together.
