Ingredients

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup jaggery
1/2 cup ghee
1/4 cup poppy seeds
1/4 cup dry coconut
1/4 cup cashew nuts
1/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup raisins
1 teaspoon cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. 1 Dry roast the whole wheat flour in a pan on low heat until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma. Set aside to cool.
  2. 2 In the same pan, dry roast the poppy seeds until they start to crackle. Set aside.
  3. 3 Heat ghee in a pan and fry the cashew nuts and almonds until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. 4 In the remaining ghee, add the grated dry coconut and fry until golden. Set aside.
  5. 5 Melt the jaggery in a separate pan with a little water until it forms a syrup. Strain to remove any impurities.
  6. 6 In a large mixing bowl, combine the roasted wheat flour, poppy seeds, fried nuts, fried coconut, raisins, and cardamom powder.
  7. 7 Pour the jaggery syrup over the mixture and mix well to form a dough-like consistency.
  8. 8 Shape the mixture into small, round balls (laddus) while it is still warm.
  9. 9 Allow the Antina Unde to cool completely before serving.

Tips

Ensure the jaggery syrup is of a sticky consistency to help bind the ingredients together.
