Ingredients

250 grams ground lamb or beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon salt
0.5 teaspoon black pepper
4 pieces pita bread
2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1 In a bowl, combine the ground lamb or beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, allspice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. 2 Cut each pita bread in half to create pockets.
  3. 3 Stuff each pita half with the meat mixture, spreading it evenly inside the pocket.
  4. 4 Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add olive oil.
  5. 5 Place the stuffed pita halves in the skillet, pressing them gently to ensure even cooking.
  6. 6 Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the meat is cooked through and the bread is golden and crispy.
  7. 7 Remove from heat and let them cool slightly before serving.

Tips

For a spicier version, add a pinch of chili flakes to the meat mixture.
