Ingredients
| 1 cup | fermented bamboo shoots |
| 200 grams | pork belly |
| 2 cups | water |
| 1 teaspoon | turmeric powder |
| 1 teaspoon | red chili powder |
| 1 teaspoon | salt |
| 2 tablespoons | mustard oil |
| 2 | green chilies |
| 1 | onion, sliced |
Instructions
- 1 Wash the pork belly and cut it into small pieces.
- 2 Heat mustard oil in a pan until it starts to smoke slightly.
- 3 Add the sliced onion and sauté until golden brown.
- 4 Add the pork pieces and sauté until they are browned on all sides.
- 5 Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to the pork, and mix well.
- 6 Add the fermented bamboo shoots and green chilies to the pan.
- 7 Pour in the water and bring it to a boil.
- 8 Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover the pan, and cook for 30-40 minutes until the pork is tender and the flavors are well combined.
- 9 Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve hot.
Tips
For a more authentic flavor, use fresh bamboo shoots if available.
