Ingredients

Fermented Bamboo Shoot 1 cup Fermented Bamboo Shoot
pork belly 200 grams Pork belly
water 2 cups Water
turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
red chili powder 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
salt 1 teaspoon Salt
mustard oil 2 tablespoons Mustard oil
Green Chili 2 Green Chili , slit
Onion 1 Onion , sliced

Instructions

  1. 1 Wash the pork belly and cut it into small pieces.
  2. 2 Heat mustard oil in a pan until it starts to smoke slightly.
  3. 3 Add the sliced onion and sauté until golden brown.
  4. 4 Add the pork pieces and sauté until they are browned on all sides.
  5. 5 Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to the pork, and mix well.
  6. 6 Add the fermented bamboo shoots and green chilies to the pan.
  7. 7 Pour in the water and bring it to a boil.
  8. 8 Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover the pan, and cook for 30-40 minutes until the pork is tender and the flavors are well combined.
  9. 9 Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve hot.

Tips

For a more authentic flavor, use fresh bamboo shoots if available.
