Ingredients

1 cup ripe pineapple, chopped
1 cup ripe mango, chopped
1 cup grated coconut
2 tablespoons jaggery
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
2 pieces dried red chilies
0.5 teaspoon turmeric powder
salt to taste
0.5 cup water

Instructions

  1. 1 In a blender, grind the grated coconut, mustard seeds, dried red chilies, and turmeric powder with a little water to form a smooth paste.
  2. 2 In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped pineapple, mango, and the ground coconut paste.
  3. 3 Add jaggery and salt to the mixture and mix well.
  4. 4 Adjust the consistency by adding water if needed.
  5. 5 Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  6. 6 Serve the Avnas Amba Sasam at room temperature or chilled.

Tips

Use ripe and sweet mangoes and pineapples for the best flavor.
