Ingredients
| 1 cup | ripe pineapple, chopped |
| 1 cup | ripe mango, chopped |
| 1 cup | grated coconut |
| 2 tablespoons | jaggery |
| 1 teaspoon | mustard seeds |
| 2 pieces | dried red chilies |
| 0.5 teaspoon | turmeric powder |
| — | salt to taste |
| 0.5 cup | water |
Instructions
- 1 In a blender, grind the grated coconut, mustard seeds, dried red chilies, and turmeric powder with a little water to form a smooth paste.
- 2 In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped pineapple, mango, and the ground coconut paste.
- 3 Add jaggery and salt to the mixture and mix well.
- 4 Adjust the consistency by adding water if needed.
- 5 Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
- 6 Serve the Avnas Amba Sasam at room temperature or chilled.
Tips
Use ripe and sweet mangoes and pineapples for the best flavor.
