Ingredients

Potato 3 medium Potato , peeled and cubed
Chickpea 1 cup Chickpea , boiled
Onion 1 medium Onion , finely chopped
Tomato 1 medium Tomato , finely chopped
Cilantro 2 tablespoons Cilantro , fresh, chopped
Cumin 1 teaspoon Cumin , powder
coriander powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
red chili powder 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
chaat masala 1 teaspoon Chaat masala
Amchur 1 teaspoon Amchur , dried mango powder
Ginger 1 tablespoon Ginger , grated
Chili 1 tablespoon Chili , green, finely chopped
Yogurt 1 cup Yogurt , whisked
tamarind chutney 1 cup Tamarind chutney
mint chutney 1 cup Mint chutney
Sev 1 cup Sev , for garnish
oil 2 tablespoons Oil
salt Salt , to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Boil the potatoes until tender, peel and mash them in a bowl.
  2. 2 Add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, grated ginger, chopped green chili, and salt to the mashed potatoes. Mix well.
  3. 3 Divide the potato mixture into small portions and shape them into flat round patties.
  4. 4 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and shallow fry the patties until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  5. 5 Place the fried patties on a serving plate.
  6. 6 Top the patties with boiled chickpeas, chopped onions, and chopped tomatoes.
  7. 7 Drizzle whisked yogurt, tamarind chutney, and mint chutney over the patties.
  8. 8 Sprinkle chaat masala, amchur, and sev on top.
  9. 9 Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  10. 10 Serve immediately.

For a crispy texture, ensure the oil is hot before adding the patties.
