Ingredients
| 3 medium | potatoes |
| 1 cup | boiled chickpeas |
| 1 medium | onion, finely chopped |
| 1 medium | tomato, finely chopped |
| 2 tablespoons | fresh coriander, chopped |
| 1 teaspoon | cumin powder |
| 1 teaspoon | coriander powder |
| 1 teaspoon | red chili powder |
| 1 teaspoon | chaat masala |
| 1 teaspoon | amchur (dried mango powder) |
| 1 tablespoon | ginger, grated |
| 1 tablespoon | green chili, finely chopped |
| 1 cup | yogurt, whisked |
| 1 cup | tamarind chutney |
| 1 cup | mint chutney |
| 1 cup | sev |
| 2 tablespoons | oil |
| — | salt to taste |
Instructions
- 1 Boil the potatoes until tender, peel and mash them in a bowl.
- 2 Add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, grated ginger, chopped green chili, and salt to the mashed potatoes. Mix well.
- 3 Divide the potato mixture into small portions and shape them into flat round patties.
- 4 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and shallow fry the patties until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- 5 Place the fried patties on a serving plate.
- 6 Top the patties with boiled chickpeas, chopped onions, and chopped tomatoes.
- 7 Drizzle whisked yogurt, tamarind chutney, and mint chutney over the patties.
- 8 Sprinkle chaat masala, amchur, and sev on top.
- 9 Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- 10 Serve immediately.
Tips
For a crispy texture, ensure the oil is hot before adding the patties.
