Ingredients

1 cup fresh mint leaves
1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves
2 tablespoons yogurt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons roasted peanuts
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon sugar
1 small green chili
salt to taste
water as needed

Instructions

  1. 1 Wash the mint and coriander leaves thoroughly under running water.
  2. 2 In a blender, combine mint leaves, coriander leaves, yogurt, lemon juice, roasted peanuts, cumin seeds, sugar, and green chili.
  3. 3 Add a little water to facilitate blending and blend until you achieve a smooth paste.
  4. 4 Taste and adjust salt as needed.
  5. 5 Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl and serve fresh.

Tips

For a spicier chutney, add an extra green chili or a pinch of red chili powder.
