Ingredients
| 1 cup | fresh mint leaves |
| 1/2 cup | fresh coriander leaves |
| 2 tablespoons | yogurt |
| 1 tablespoon | lemon juice |
| 2 tablespoons | roasted peanuts |
| 1 teaspoon | cumin seeds |
| 1 teaspoon | sugar |
| 1 small | green chili |
| — | salt to taste |
| — | water as needed |
Instructions
- 1 Wash the mint and coriander leaves thoroughly under running water.
- 2 In a blender, combine mint leaves, coriander leaves, yogurt, lemon juice, roasted peanuts, cumin seeds, sugar, and green chili.
- 3 Add a little water to facilitate blending and blend until you achieve a smooth paste.
- 4 Taste and adjust salt as needed.
- 5 Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl and serve fresh.
Tips
For a spicier chutney, add an extra green chili or a pinch of red chili powder.
