3 cloves | Garlic , finely chopped |

1 inch | Ginger , finely chopped |

1 teaspoon | Turmeric powder |

1 teaspoon | Coriander powder |

1 teaspoon | Salt |
|
1 teaspoon | White Pepper , powder |
|
2 tablespoons | Lime juice |
|
500 ml | Cooking oil , for frying |
Instructions
- 1 Blend garlic, shallots, and ginger into a smooth paste.
- 2 In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces with the paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, white pepper, and lime juice.
- 3 Marinate the chicken for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
- 4 Heat cooking oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- 5 Fry the marinated chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 10-15 minutes per batch.
- 6 Remove the chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- 7 Serve the Ayam Goreng hot with steamed rice or as a side dish.
Tips
For a spicier version, add some chili paste to the marinade.
