Ingredients

Chicken 500 grams Chicken , cut into pieces
Garlic 3 cloves Garlic , finely chopped
Ginger 1 inch Ginger , finely chopped
turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
coriander powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
salt 1 teaspoon Salt
White Pepper 1 teaspoon White Pepper , powder
lime juice 2 tablespoons Lime juice
cooking oil 500 ml Cooking oil , for frying

Instructions

  1. 1 Blend garlic, shallots, and ginger into a smooth paste.
  2. 2 In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces with the paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, white pepper, and lime juice.
  3. 3 Marinate the chicken for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
  4. 4 Heat cooking oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  5. 5 Fry the marinated chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 10-15 minutes per batch.
  6. 6 Remove the chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. 7 Serve the Ayam Goreng hot with steamed rice or as a side dish.

Tips

For a spicier version, add some chili paste to the marinade.
