Ingredients
| 4 | raw bananas |
| 1 cup | coconut oil |
| — | salt to taste |
| 1 teaspoon | turmeric powder |
Instructions
- 1 Peel the raw bananas and slice them thinly using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife.
- 2 In a bowl, mix the turmeric powder with a little water to make a thin paste.
- 3 Coat the banana slices with the turmeric paste and set aside for 5 minutes.
- 4 Heat the coconut oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- 5 Once the oil is hot, carefully add a handful of banana slices into the oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- 6 Fry the banana slices until they turn crispy and golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- 7 Use a slotted spoon to remove the chips from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 8 Sprinkle salt over the chips while they are still hot.
- 9 Repeat the frying process with the remaining banana slices.
Tips
Ensure the oil is hot enough before adding the banana slices to achieve a crispy texture.
