Ingredients

4 raw bananas
1 cup coconut oil
salt to taste
1 teaspoon turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. 1 Peel the raw bananas and slice them thinly using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife.
  2. 2 In a bowl, mix the turmeric powder with a little water to make a thin paste.
  3. 3 Coat the banana slices with the turmeric paste and set aside for 5 minutes.
  4. 4 Heat the coconut oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  5. 5 Once the oil is hot, carefully add a handful of banana slices into the oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
  6. 6 Fry the banana slices until they turn crispy and golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. 7 Use a slotted spoon to remove the chips from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. 8 Sprinkle salt over the chips while they are still hot.
  9. 9 Repeat the frying process with the remaining banana slices.

Tips

Ensure the oil is hot enough before adding the banana slices to achieve a crispy texture.
