Ingredients
| 1 cup | besan (gram flour) |
| 1/2 cup | ghee |
| 3/4 cup | powdered sugar |
| 1/4 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
| 2 tablespoons | chopped nuts (almonds, cashews) |
| 1 tablespoon | raisins |
Instructions
- 1 Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan on low heat.
- 2 Add besan to the ghee and roast on low flame, stirring continuously to avoid burning.
- 3 Continue roasting until the besan turns golden brown and emits a nutty aroma, about 15-20 minutes.
- 4 Remove the pan from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
- 5 Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to the roasted besan and mix well.
- 6 Add chopped nuts and raisins to the mixture and combine thoroughly.
- 7 While the mixture is still warm, take small portions and shape them into round ladoos using your palms.
- 8 Allow the ladoos to cool completely before serving.
Tips
Ensure the besan is roasted properly to enhance the flavor and avoid a raw taste.
