Ingredients

1 cup besan (gram flour)
1/2 cup ghee
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
2 tablespoons chopped nuts (almonds, cashews)
1 tablespoon raisins

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan on low heat.
  2. 2 Add besan to the ghee and roast on low flame, stirring continuously to avoid burning.
  3. 3 Continue roasting until the besan turns golden brown and emits a nutty aroma, about 15-20 minutes.
  4. 4 Remove the pan from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  5. 5 Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to the roasted besan and mix well.
  6. 6 Add chopped nuts and raisins to the mixture and combine thoroughly.
  7. 7 While the mixture is still warm, take small portions and shape them into round ladoos using your palms.
  8. 8 Allow the ladoos to cool completely before serving.

Tips

Ensure the besan is roasted properly to enhance the flavor and avoid a raw taste.
