Ingredients
| 250 grams | beef, minced |
| 1 medium | onion, finely chopped |
| 2 cloves | garlic, minced |
| 1 inch | ginger, minced |
| 2 | green chilies, finely chopped |
| 1 tsp | black pepper powder |
| 1 tsp | garam masala |
| 1 tsp | coriander powder |
| 1 tsp | turmeric powder |
| 1 cup | potato, boiled and mashed |
| 1 | egg, beaten |
| 1 cup | breadcrumbs |
| 2 tbsp | coconut oil |
| — | salt to taste |
| — | oil for frying |
Instructions
- 1 Heat coconut oil in a pan and sauté the onions until translucent.
- 2 Add garlic, ginger, and green chilies, and sauté until fragrant.
- 3 Add the minced beef and cook until browned and cooked through.
- 4 Mix in black pepper, garam masala, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
- 5 Cook the mixture until the spices are well incorporated and the beef is dry.
- 6 Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 7 In a bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture with mashed potatoes.
- 8 Shape the mixture into small, flat cutlets.
- 9 Dip each cutlet into the beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- 10 Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- 11 Fry the cutlets until golden brown on both sides.
- 12 Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Tips
For a more authentic taste, use freshly ground spices.
