Ingredients

250 grams beef lung
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch ginger, minced
2 tablespoons mustard oil
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1 bunch coriander leaves, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1 Clean the beef lung thoroughly under running water.
  2. 2 Cut the beef lung into small bite-sized pieces.
  3. 3 Heat mustard oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. 4 Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  5. 5 Add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant.
  6. 6 Add the beef lung pieces to the pan and stir well.
  7. 7 Sprinkle turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt over the beef lung.
  8. 8 Stir to coat the lung pieces evenly with the spices.
  9. 9 Pour in water and bring to a gentle boil.
  10. 10 Cover the pan and let it simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes or until the lung is tender.
  11. 11 Remove the lid and cook for an additional 5 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  12. 12 Garnish with chopped coriander leaves before serving.
