Ingredients
| 300 grams | beef sirloin, thinly sliced |
| 1 tablespoon | soy sauce |
| 1 tablespoon | oyster sauce |
| 1 teaspoon | cornstarch |
| 1 tablespoon | vegetable oil |
| 2 cups | broccoli florets |
| 2 cloves | garlic, minced |
| 1/2 cup | beef broth |
| 1 tablespoon | hoisin sauce |
| 1 teaspoon | sesame oil |
| — | salt to taste |
| — | black pepper to taste |
Instructions
- 1 In a bowl, combine the beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
- 2 Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- 3 Add the marinated beef slices to the pan and stir-fry until they are browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
- 4 In the same pan, add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- 5 Add the minced garlic and continue to stir-fry for another minute until fragrant.
- 6 Pour in the beef broth and hoisin sauce, and bring to a simmer.
- 7 Return the cooked beef to the pan, mix well, and let everything cook together for another 2 minutes.
- 8 Drizzle sesame oil over the dish, season with salt and black pepper to taste, and give it a final stir before serving.
Tips
For a more tender beef, slice it against the grain. You can also add a pinch of sugar to balance the flavors.
