Prep: 20 min Cook: 15 min Total: 35 min 2-3 servings

Ingredients

300 grams beef sirloin, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 cups broccoli florets
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
salt to taste
black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 In a bowl, combine the beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. 2 Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. 3 Add the marinated beef slices to the pan and stir-fry until they are browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  4. 4 In the same pan, add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  5. 5 Add the minced garlic and continue to stir-fry for another minute until fragrant.
  6. 6 Pour in the beef broth and hoisin sauce, and bring to a simmer.
  7. 7 Return the cooked beef to the pan, mix well, and let everything cook together for another 2 minutes.
  8. 8 Drizzle sesame oil over the dish, season with salt and black pepper to taste, and give it a final stir before serving.

Tips

For a more tender beef, slice it against the grain. You can also add a pinch of sugar to balance the flavors.
