Ingredients
| 300 grams | Bhetki fish fillets |
| 1 tablespoon | lime juice |
| 1 teaspoon | salt |
| 1 teaspoon | black pepper powder |
| 1 tablespoon | ginger-garlic paste |
| 2 tablespoons | mustard oil |
| 1 cup | breadcrumbs |
| 1 cup | all-purpose flour |
| 2 | eggs |
| 1 teaspoon | red chili powder |
| 1 teaspoon | cumin powder |
| 1 teaspoon | garam masala |
| 500 ml | vegetable oil for deep frying |
Instructions
- 1 Clean and cut the bhetki fish fillets into desired pieces.
- 2 In a bowl, marinate the fish with lime juice, salt, black pepper powder, ginger-garlic paste, and mustard oil. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- 3 In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and set aside.
- 4 In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with red chili powder, cumin powder, and garam masala.
- 5 Take each marinated fish piece, coat it with all-purpose flour, dip it into the beaten eggs, and then coat it thoroughly with the spiced breadcrumbs.
- 6 Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- 7 Once the oil is hot, carefully place the coated fish pieces into the oil and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- 8 Remove the fish pieces from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- 9 Serve hot with salad and mustard sauce.
Tips
For best results, use fresh bhetki fish, and ensure the oil is hot before frying to achieve a crispy texture.
