Ingredients

300 grams Bhetki fish fillets
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper powder
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
2 tablespoons mustard oil
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
500 ml vegetable oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. 1 Clean and cut the bhetki fish fillets into desired pieces.
  2. 2 In a bowl, marinate the fish with lime juice, salt, black pepper powder, ginger-garlic paste, and mustard oil. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  3. 3 In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and set aside.
  4. 4 In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with red chili powder, cumin powder, and garam masala.
  5. 5 Take each marinated fish piece, coat it with all-purpose flour, dip it into the beaten eggs, and then coat it thoroughly with the spiced breadcrumbs.
  6. 6 Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  7. 7 Once the oil is hot, carefully place the coated fish pieces into the oil and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  8. 8 Remove the fish pieces from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  9. 9 Serve hot with salad and mustard sauce.

Tips

For best results, use fresh bhetki fish, and ensure the oil is hot before frying to achieve a crispy texture.
