Ingredients

1 cup besan (gram flour)
1/2 cup ghee
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
2 tablespoons chopped almonds
2 tablespoons chopped cashews
1 tablespoon raisins

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat the ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan on a low flame.
  2. 2 Add the besan to the ghee and roast it on low flame, stirring continuously to avoid burning.
  3. 3 Continue roasting until the besan turns golden brown and emits a nutty aroma, about 15-20 minutes.
  4. 4 Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  5. 5 Once the mixture is warm, add the powdered sugar and cardamom powder, and mix well.
  6. 6 Add the chopped almonds, cashews, and raisins to the mixture and combine thoroughly.
  7. 7 Shape the mixture into small, round laddus using your palms.
  8. 8 Allow the laddus to cool completely before serving or storing.
