| 1 medium | onion, finely chopped |
| 1 small | tomato, finely chopped |
| 2 tablespoons | fresh coriander leaves, chopped |
| 1 teaspoon | carom seeds (ajwain) |

| 1 teaspoon | coriander powder |
| 0.5 teaspoon | turmeric powder |

- 2 Add oil to the mixture and mix well.
- 3 Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough. The dough should be pliable but not sticky.
- 4 Divide the dough into small balls of equal size.
- 5 Roll each ball into a flat, round disc using a rolling pin, dusting with flour as needed to prevent sticking.
- 6 Heat a tawa or flat pan over medium heat.
- 7 Place the rolled roti on the hot tawa and cook for about 1-2 minutes until small bubbles form on the surface.
- 8 Flip the roti and cook the other side until golden brown spots appear.
- 9 Apply a little oil on both sides and cook until the roti is evenly cooked and has a nice golden color.
- 10 Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
- 11 Serve hot with yogurt or pickle.
Tips
For a spicier version, add finely chopped green chilies to the dough.
