Ingredients
| 2 tablespoons | bhaang seeds (hemp seeds) |
| 1 tablespoon | cumin seeds |
| 2 cloves | garlic |
| 2 small | green chilies |
| 1 teaspoon | salt |
| 1 small | lemon juice |
| 1 cup | fresh coriander leaves |
Instructions
- 1 Dry roast the bhaang seeds in a pan over medium heat until they start to pop and release their aroma. Set aside to cool.
- 2 In the same pan, dry roast the cumin seeds until they turn golden brown. Let them cool.
- 3 In a mortar and pestle or a grinder, crush the roasted bhaang seeds and cumin seeds together to form a coarse powder.
- 4 Add the garlic cloves and green chilies to the grinder and crush them into the powder.
- 5 Add salt and lemon juice to the mixture and blend well.
- 6 Finally, add the fresh coriander leaves and grind everything together to form a smooth chutney.
- 7 Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
Tips
For a more intense flavor, you can slightly toast the garlic before grinding.
