Ingredients

2 tablespoons bhaang seeds (hemp seeds)
1 tablespoon cumin seeds
2 cloves garlic
2 small green chilies
1 teaspoon salt
1 small lemon juice
1 cup fresh coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. 1 Dry roast the bhaang seeds in a pan over medium heat until they start to pop and release their aroma. Set aside to cool.
  2. 2 In the same pan, dry roast the cumin seeds until they turn golden brown. Let them cool.
  3. 3 In a mortar and pestle or a grinder, crush the roasted bhaang seeds and cumin seeds together to form a coarse powder.
  4. 4 Add the garlic cloves and green chilies to the grinder and crush them into the powder.
  5. 5 Add salt and lemon juice to the mixture and blend well.
  6. 6 Finally, add the fresh coriander leaves and grind everything together to form a smooth chutney.
  7. 7 Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Tips

For a more intense flavor, you can slightly toast the garlic before grinding.
