2 cups | Jowar flour |

1 cup | Water |

— | Salt , to taste |
|
1 cup | Cilantro , chopped |
|
2 | Green Chili , slit |
|
1 | Garlic , clove |
|
1 teaspoon | Cumin , seeds |
|
1 tablespoon | Peanut |
|
1 tablespoon | Lemon juice |
|
1 tablespoon | Oil |
Instructions
- 1 In a mixing bowl, combine jowar flour and salt.
- 2 Gradually add water to the flour, kneading to form a smooth dough.
- 3 Divide the dough into small portions and roll each into a ball.
- 4 Flatten each ball into a disc using your palms or a rolling pin.
- 5 Heat a tawa or skillet over medium heat.
- 6 Cook each bhakri on the tawa, pressing gently with a cloth or spatula, until both sides are golden brown.
- 7 For the chutney, blend coriander leaves, green chilies, garlic, cumin seeds, peanuts, lemon juice, and salt into a smooth paste.
- 8 Heat oil in a small pan and add the chutney paste, sautéing for 2-3 minutes.
- 9 Serve the hot bhakri with the prepared chutney.
Tips
If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour. For a spicier chutney, increase the number of green chilies.
