Recipe

Prep: 15 min 2-3 servings

Ingredients

2 cups milk
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 cup red bean paste
1 cup fresh fruit, diced (e.g., strawberries, kiwi, mango)
1/2 cup mochi pieces
1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk (for drizzling)
1/4 cup toasted almond slices
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
ice (enough to fill the ice shaver)

Instructions

  1. 1 Freeze the milk and sweetened condensed milk mixture in an ice cube tray until solid.
  2. 2 Once frozen, shave the ice cubes using an ice shaver or a blender until fine and fluffy.
  3. 3 Divide the shaved ice into two or three bowls.
  4. 4 Top each bowl with a generous amount of red bean paste.
  5. 5 Add the diced fresh fruit and mochi pieces on top of the shaved ice.
  6. 6 Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the toppings.
  7. 7 Sprinkle toasted almond slices over the bingsu.
  8. 8 Finish with a drizzle of chocolate syrup for added sweetness.

Tips

For a creamier texture, use a higher ratio of sweetened condensed milk to regular milk when making the ice cubes.
