Ingredients
| 6 slices | bacon |
| 4 slices | bread |
| 4 leaves | lettuce |
| 2 slices | tomato |
| 2 tablespoons | mayonnaise |
| — | salt to taste |
| — | black pepper to taste |
Instructions
- 1 Preheat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy, about 6-8 minutes.
- 2 Transfer the cooked bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
- 3 Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
- 4 Spread mayonnaise evenly on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
- 5 Layer the lettuce leaves on two slices of the bread.
- 6 Add the tomato slices on top of the lettuce and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 7 Place the crispy bacon slices on top of the tomatoes.
- 8 Top with the remaining slices of bread, mayonnaise side down, to form a sandwich.
- 9 Cut each sandwich in half and serve immediately.
Tips
For added flavor, consider toasting the bread in the bacon drippings.
