Ingredients

6 slices bacon
4 slices bread
4 leaves lettuce
2 slices tomato
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
salt to taste
black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy, about 6-8 minutes.
  2. 2 Transfer the cooked bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
  3. 3 Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  4. 4 Spread mayonnaise evenly on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
  5. 5 Layer the lettuce leaves on two slices of the bread.
  6. 6 Add the tomato slices on top of the lettuce and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. 7 Place the crispy bacon slices on top of the tomatoes.
  8. 8 Top with the remaining slices of bread, mayonnaise side down, to form a sandwich.
  9. 9 Cut each sandwich in half and serve immediately.

Tips

For added flavor, consider toasting the bread in the bacon drippings.
