Ingredients

red chili powder 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
Coriander 1 teaspoon Coriander , ground
garam masala 1 teaspoon Garam masala
Egg 1 small Egg
salt Salt , to taste
oil 3 tablespoons Oil
water 2 cups Water
Yogurt 2 tablespoons Yogurt
Tomato 1 medium Tomato , pureed
Cumin 1 teaspoon Cumin , seeds
Clove 2 pieces Clove
Cardamom Pod 2 pieces Cardamom Pod
cinnamon 1 stick Cinnamon
Cilantro 1 tablespoon Cilantro , fresh, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1 In a bowl, combine minced meat, half of the chopped onion, gram flour, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, ground cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, egg, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth mixture.
  2. 2 Shape the mixture into small, round koftas (meatballs) and set aside.
  3. 3 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds, cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon. Sauté until fragrant.
  4. 4 Add the remaining chopped onion and cook until golden brown.
  5. 5 Stir in the tomato puree and cook for 2-3 minutes until the oil separates.
  6. 6 Add yogurt, mixing well, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. 7 Pour in water and bring to a gentle boil.
  8. 8 Carefully add the koftas to the curry, ensuring they are submerged.
  9. 9 Cover and cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the koftas are cooked through and the curry thickens.
  10. 10 Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.

Tips

For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of saffron soaked in warm milk to the curry before serving.
