Ingredients

1.5 pounds chicken wings
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
0.5 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup hot sauce
0.5 cup unsalted butter
vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. 1 In a large bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. 2 Coat the chicken wings in the flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly covered.
  3. 3 Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  4. 4 Fry the wings in batches for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. 5 Remove the wings from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. 6 In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat and stir in the hot sauce until well combined.
  7. 7 Place the fried wings in a large bowl and pour the hot sauce mixture over them.
  8. 8 Toss the wings in the sauce until they are well coated.

Tips

For extra crispy wings, let the coated wings rest for 15 minutes before frying.
