Ingredients

1 cup | Yogurt , plain |

1 cup | Water , cold |
|
1 medium | Cucumber , finely chopped |
|
1 clove | Garlic , finely chopped |
|
1 tablespoon | Olive oil |
|
— | Salt , to taste |
|
— | Black Pepper , freshly ground to taste |
|
1 tablespoon | Dill , fresh |
|
1 tablespoon | Mint , fresh |
Instructions
- 1 Peel the cucumber and grate it using a box grater.
- 2 Place the grated cucumber in a bowl and sprinkle with a little salt. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then squeeze out the excess water.
- 3 In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt and cold water, whisking until smooth.
- 4 Add the grated cucumber to the yogurt mixture.
- 5 Finely chop the garlic and add it to the bowl.
- 6 Stir in the olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- 7 Chop the dill and mint, then add them to the mixture.
- 8 Mix everything well and chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Tips
For a thicker consistency, use strained yogurt or reduce the amount of water.
