Ingredients

1 cup plain yogurt
1 cup cold water
1 medium cucumber
1 clove garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon fresh dill
1 tablespoon fresh mint

Instructions

  1. 1 Peel the cucumber and grate it using a box grater.
  2. 2 Place the grated cucumber in a bowl and sprinkle with a little salt. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then squeeze out the excess water.
  3. 3 In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt and cold water, whisking until smooth.
  4. 4 Add the grated cucumber to the yogurt mixture.
  5. 5 Finely chop the garlic and add it to the bowl.
  6. 6 Stir in the olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  7. 7 Chop the dill and mint, then add them to the mixture.
  8. 8 Mix everything well and chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Tips

For a thicker consistency, use strained yogurt or reduce the amount of water.
