Ingredients
| 1 cup | mustard greens |
| 1 cup | spinach |
| 1 cup | fenugreek leaves |
| 1 cup | water |
| 1 tablespoon | baking soda |
| 2 cloves | garlic |
| 1 inch | ginger |
| 2 pieces | green chilies |
| 1 teaspoon | salt |
| — | salt to taste |
Instructions
- 1 Wash the mustard greens, spinach, and fenugreek leaves thoroughly to remove any dirt.
- 2 Boil 1 cup of water in a pot and add the baking soda.
- 3 Add the mustard greens, spinach, and fenugreek leaves to the boiling water.
- 4 Cook the greens until they are soft and tender, about 10-15 minutes.
- 5 Drain the greens and let them cool slightly.
- 6 In a mortar and pestle, crush the garlic, ginger, and green chilies into a coarse paste.
- 7 Mix the paste with the cooked greens and add salt to taste.
- 8 Mash everything together until well combined and slightly smooth.
- 9 Serve the Chakluk Ametpa as a side dish or with steamed rice.
