Ingredients

1 cup sticky rice
2 cups water
1 pinch salt
1 tablespoon ghee
1 banana

Instructions

  1. 1 Wash the sticky rice thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear.
  2. 2 Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.
  3. 3 Drain the rice and transfer it to a pot.
  4. 4 Add 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt to the pot.
  5. 5 Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
  6. 6 Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed.
  7. 7 Remove the pot from heat and let it sit, covered, for another 5 minutes.
  8. 8 Fluff the rice with a fork and add ghee, mixing it gently into the rice.
  9. 9 Peel the banana and slice it into small pieces.
  10. 10 Serve the rice warm with banana slices on the side.

Tips

For a richer taste, you can add a little more ghee before serving.
