Ingredients
| 1 cup | sticky rice |
| 2 cups | water |
| 1 pinch | salt |
| 1 tablespoon | ghee |
| 1 | banana |
Instructions
- 1 Wash the sticky rice thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear.
- 2 Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.
- 3 Drain the rice and transfer it to a pot.
- 4 Add 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt to the pot.
- 5 Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
- 6 Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed.
- 7 Remove the pot from heat and let it sit, covered, for another 5 minutes.
- 8 Fluff the rice with a fork and add ghee, mixing it gently into the rice.
- 9 Peel the banana and slice it into small pieces.
- 10 Serve the rice warm with banana slices on the side.
Tips
For a richer taste, you can add a little more ghee before serving.
