Ingredients
| 250 grams | fresh prawns, cleaned and deveined |
| 1 tablespoon | ginger-garlic paste |
| 1 teaspoon | turmeric powder |
| 1 teaspoon | red chili powder |
| 1 teaspoon | coriander powder |
| 1 teaspoon | cumin powder |
| 1 teaspoon | black pepper powder |
| 1 tablespoon | lemon juice |
| 2 tablespoons | coconut oil |
| 1 medium | onion, finely sliced |
| 2 sprigs | curry leaves |
| — | salt to taste |
| 1 tablespoon | fresh coriander leaves, chopped |
Instructions
- 1 In a bowl, marinate the prawns with ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- 2 Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 3 Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- 4 Add curry leaves and stir for a few seconds until aromatic.
- 5 Add the marinated prawns to the pan and cook on medium-high heat.
- 6 Stir occasionally and cook until the prawns turn opaque and are cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- 7 Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
Tips
For a spicier version, add more red chili powder or a few crushed dried red chilies.
