Ingredients

1 cup sesame seeds
1 cup jaggery
2 tablespoons ghee
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. 1 Dry roast the sesame seeds in a pan over medium heat until they start to pop and turn golden brown. Set aside to cool.
  2. 2 In the same pan, add ghee and jaggery. Stir continuously on low heat until the jaggery melts completely.
  3. 3 Add water to the melted jaggery and let it simmer until it reaches a soft ball stage.
  4. 4 Mix in the cardamom powder and the roasted sesame seeds. Stir well to combine.
  5. 5 Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool slightly until it is safe to handle.
  6. 6 Grease your palms with a little ghee and shape the mixture into small, round ladoos.
  7. 7 Let the ladoos cool completely before serving or storing.

Tips

Ensure the jaggery syrup reaches the soft ball stage for perfect binding of the ladoos.
