Ingredients
| 1 cup | sesame seeds |
| 1 cup | jaggery |
| 2 tablespoons | ghee |
| 1 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
| 2 tablespoons | water |
Instructions
- 1 Dry roast the sesame seeds in a pan over medium heat until they start to pop and turn golden brown. Set aside to cool.
- 2 In the same pan, add ghee and jaggery. Stir continuously on low heat until the jaggery melts completely.
- 3 Add water to the melted jaggery and let it simmer until it reaches a soft ball stage.
- 4 Mix in the cardamom powder and the roasted sesame seeds. Stir well to combine.
- 5 Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool slightly until it is safe to handle.
- 6 Grease your palms with a little ghee and shape the mixture into small, round ladoos.
- 7 Let the ladoos cool completely before serving or storing.
Tips
Ensure the jaggery syrup reaches the soft ball stage for perfect binding of the ladoos.
