Ingredients

1 cup | Jaggery |

1 cup | Water |

1 cup | Rice flour |
|
1 tablespoon | Ghee |
|
1 teaspoon | Cardamom , powder |

1 tablespoon | Sesame Seed |

1 pinch | Salt |
Instructions
- 1 In a pan, melt the jaggery with water over medium heat until it dissolves completely.
- 2 Strain the jaggery syrup to remove any impurities and return it to the pan.
- 3 Add ghee, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt to the jaggery syrup and bring it to a boil.
- 4 Gradually add rice flour to the boiling syrup, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- 5 Cook the mixture on low heat until it thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
- 6 Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 7 Grease your palms with ghee and shape the mixture into small balls or discs.
- 8 Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of each Chigali and press gently to adhere.
- 9 Allow them to cool completely before serving.
