| 1 teaspoon | vanilla extract |
| 1/3 cup | unsweetened cocoa powder |
| 1/2 cup | all-purpose flour |
| 1/4 teaspoon | salt |
| 1/4 teaspoon | baking powder |
| 1/4 cup | chopped walnuts (optional) |
Instructions
- 1 Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small baking dish.
- 2 Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, then remove from heat.
- 3 Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- 4 Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder to the mixture and mix until smooth.
- 5 Fold in chopped walnuts if using.
- 6 Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- 7 Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan.
- 8 Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
Tips
For a fudgier texture, slightly underbake the brownies and let them cool completely before slicing.
