Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small baking dish.
  2. 2 Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, then remove from heat.
  3. 3 Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. 4 Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder to the mixture and mix until smooth.
  5. 5 Fold in chopped walnuts if using.
  6. 6 Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
