Ingredients
| 6 slices | white or whole wheat bread |
| 6 slices | cooked turkey or chicken breast |
| 6 slices | cooked bacon |
| 3 leaves | lettuce |
| 2 | tomatoes, sliced |
| 3 tablespoons | mayonnaise |
| 1 tablespoon | butter |
| 1 pinch | salt |
| 1 pinch | black pepper |
Instructions
- 1 Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
- 2 Spread butter on one side of each toasted bread slice.
- 3 Spread mayonnaise on the buttered side of each bread slice.
- 4 Layer two slices of turkey or chicken on one slice of bread.
- 5 Add a slice of lettuce and two slices of tomato on top of the turkey.
- 6 Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
- 7 Place another slice of bread on top, mayonnaise side down.
- 8 Add three slices of bacon on top of the second slice of bread.
- 9 Add another slice of lettuce and two more slices of tomato.
- 10 Place the final slice of bread on top, mayonnaise side down.
- 11 Secure the sandwich with toothpicks and cut diagonally into quarters.
Tips
For a healthier option, use whole grain bread and low-fat mayonnaise.
