Ingredients

2 tablespoons sugar
1 pinch baking soda

Instructions

  1. 1 Prepare a non-stick pan and a spatula or a wooden chopstick.
  2. 2 Add the sugar to the pan and melt it over low heat, stirring continuously to avoid burning.
  3. 3 Once the sugar is completely melted and turns a light amber color, remove the pan from the heat.
  4. 4 Quickly add the baking soda to the melted sugar and stir vigorously until it is fully incorporated and the mixture becomes frothy.
  5. 5 Pour the mixture onto a parchment paper-lined surface or a silicone mat.
  6. 6 Flatten the mixture gently with a spatula or by pressing with a flat object, like the bottom of a cup.
  7. 7 Optionally, press a shape into the center of the candy using a cookie cutter.
  8. 8 Allow the Dalgona to cool and harden before serving.

Tips

Be careful not to burn the sugar; keep the heat low and stir continuously.
