Instructions
- 1 Prepare a non-stick pan and a spatula or a wooden chopstick.
- 2 Add the sugar to the pan and melt it over low heat, stirring continuously to avoid burning.
- 3 Once the sugar is completely melted and turns a light amber color, remove the pan from the heat.
- 4 Quickly add the baking soda to the melted sugar and stir vigorously until it is fully incorporated and the mixture becomes frothy.
- 5 Pour the mixture onto a parchment paper-lined surface or a silicone mat.
- 6 Flatten the mixture gently with a spatula or by pressing with a flat object, like the bottom of a cup.
- 7 Optionally, press a shape into the center of the candy using a cookie cutter.
- 8 Allow the Dalgona to cool and harden before serving.
Tips
Be careful not to burn the sugar; keep the heat low and stir continuously.
