1/2 cup | Gram Flour |
|
1 medium | Onion , finely chopped |
|
1 medium | Tomato , finely chopped |

2 tablespoons | Cilantro , chopped |
|
1 teaspoon | Cumin , seeds |
|
1 teaspoon | Red chili powder |
|
1 teaspoon | Turmeric powder |
|
1 teaspoon | Ajwain |
|
1 teaspoon | Sesame Seed |
|
1 teaspoon | Ginger-garlic paste |
|
1 teaspoon | Salt |
|
2 tablespoons | Oil |

Instructions
- 1 In a large mixing bowl, combine jowar flour, wheat flour, and besan.
- 2 Add the chopped onion, tomato, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, ajwain, sesame seeds, ginger-garlic paste, and salt.
- 3 Mix all the ingredients well.
- 4 Add water gradually and knead into a soft dough. The dough should be pliable but not sticky.
- 5 Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
- 6 Flatten each ball slightly and roll it out into a thick disc using a rolling pin.
- 7 Heat a tawa or flat pan over medium heat and drizzle a little oil.
- 8 Place the rolled dhapate on the hot tawa and cook until golden brown spots appear on one side.
- 9 Flip it over and cook the other side, adding a little more oil if needed.
- 10 Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
- 11 Serve hot with yogurt or pickle.
Tips
Ensure the dough is not too dry; adjust the water quantity as needed for a soft dough.
