Ingredients

1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup jaggery
1/4 cup ghee
1/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
2 tablespoons chopped nuts (almonds, cashews)
1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. 1 In a pan, heat ghee on a low flame.
  2. 2 Add whole wheat flour and roast it on low flame until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma.
  3. 3 In a separate pot, melt jaggery with water until it forms a syrup. Ensure there are no lumps.
  4. 4 Add the jaggery syrup to the roasted flour and mix well.
  5. 5 Stir continuously to avoid lumps and cook until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
  6. 6 Add cardamom powder, chopped nuts, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  7. 7 Transfer the mixture to a greased plate or tray and spread it evenly.
  8. 8 Allow it to cool slightly, then cut into pieces and serve.

Tips

Ensure to roast the flour on low heat to prevent burning and achieve the perfect aroma.
