Ingredients
| 1 cup | whole wheat flour |
| 1/2 cup | jaggery |
| 1/4 cup | ghee |
| 1/4 cup | water |
| 1/4 teaspoon | cardamom powder |
| 2 tablespoons | chopped nuts (almonds, cashews) |
| 1 pinch | salt |
Instructions
- 1 In a pan, heat ghee on a low flame.
- 2 Add whole wheat flour and roast it on low flame until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma.
- 3 In a separate pot, melt jaggery with water until it forms a syrup. Ensure there are no lumps.
- 4 Add the jaggery syrup to the roasted flour and mix well.
- 5 Stir continuously to avoid lumps and cook until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
- 6 Add cardamom powder, chopped nuts, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
- 7 Transfer the mixture to a greased plate or tray and spread it evenly.
- 8 Allow it to cool slightly, then cut into pieces and serve.
Tips
Ensure to roast the flour on low heat to prevent burning and achieve the perfect aroma.
