Ingredients

500 grams pork belly, cut into cubes
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 cup water
salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Dry roast the black sesame seeds in a pan over low heat until they are aromatic, then grind them into a fine powder and set aside.
  2. 2 Heat the vegetable oil in a pot over medium heat.
  3. 3 Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté until fragrant.
  4. 4 Add the pork belly cubes to the pot and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  5. 5 Sprinkle the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt over the pork, stirring well to coat the meat evenly.
  6. 6 Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  7. 7 Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 30 minutes or until the pork is tender.
  8. 8 Stir in the ground black sesame seeds and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
  9. 9 Adjust seasoning if necessary, then serve hot.

Tips

For a richer flavor, let the pork marinate in the spices for an hour before cooking.
