Prep: 5 min Cook: 10 min Total: 15 min 2-3 servings

Ingredients

1 pound edamame (young soybeans), in pods
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt for serving

Instructions

  1. 1 Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add 1 tablespoon of sea salt.
  2. 2 Add the edamame pods to the boiling water.
  3. 3 Boil the edamame for about 5 minutes until the pods are tender and the beans inside are cooked through.
  4. 4 Drain the edamame in a colander and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
  5. 5 Sprinkle with coarse sea salt and toss to coat evenly.
  6. 6 Serve the edamame warm or at room temperature.

Tips

For added flavor, you can steam the edamame instead of boiling them, or add a pinch of chili powder for a spicy kick.
