Ingredients
| 1 pound | edamame (young soybeans), in pods |
| 1 tablespoon | sea salt |
| 1 teaspoon | coarse sea salt for serving |
Instructions
- 1 Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add 1 tablespoon of sea salt.
- 2 Add the edamame pods to the boiling water.
- 3 Boil the edamame for about 5 minutes until the pods are tender and the beans inside are cooked through.
- 4 Drain the edamame in a colander and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 5 Sprinkle with coarse sea salt and toss to coat evenly.
- 6 Serve the edamame warm or at room temperature.
Tips
For added flavor, you can steam the edamame instead of boiling them, or add a pinch of chili powder for a spicy kick.
