| 1 teaspoon | turmeric powder |
| 1 teaspoon | red chili powder |
| 1 teaspoon | coriander powder |
| 1/2 teaspoon | black pepper powder |
| 1 tablespoon | rice flour |
| 1 tablespoon | corn flour |
| 2 tablespoons | coconut oil |
| — | salt to taste |
| 1 tablespoon | lemon juice |
| 1 tablespoon | finely chopped coriander leaves |
Instructions
- 1 Peel and slice the elephant yam into thin, even slices.
- 2 In a mixing bowl, combine turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, rice flour, corn flour, and salt.
- 3 Add the yam slices to the bowl and toss them well to coat evenly with the spice mixture.
- 4 Drizzle lemon juice over the coated yam slices and mix again.
- 5 Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 6 Once the oil is hot, add the coated yam slices in a single layer.
- 7 Fry the yam slices until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides, flipping occasionally.
- 8 Remove the fried yam slices and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- 9 Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves before serving.
