Ingredients

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 teaspoon sweet Spanish paprika
salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 loaf crusty bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. 2 Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
  3. 3 Increase the heat to high and add the shrimp to the skillet.
  4. 4 Sprinkle the shrimp with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  5. 5 Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque.
  6. 6 Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  7. 7 Serve immediately with crusty bread to soak up the flavorful oil.

Tips

For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes while cooking the garlic.
