Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup jaggery
1 cup water
1 cup rice flour
1 cup grated coconut
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 pinch salt
2 tablespoons ghee

Instructions

  1. 1 In a saucepan, combine jaggery and water. Heat gently until the jaggery dissolves completely.
  2. 2 Strain the jaggery syrup to remove any impurities and return it to the saucepan.
  3. 3 Bring the jaggery syrup to a boil and then reduce the heat to low.
  4. 4 Gradually add the rice flour to the syrup, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  5. 5 Add the grated coconut, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  6. 6 Cook the mixture on low heat, stirring continuously, until it thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
  7. 7 Add ghee to the mixture and mix well until the ghee is absorbed.
  8. 8 Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly before serving.

Tips

Ensure continuous stirring to prevent lumps and for a smooth texture.
