| 1 lb | boneless, skinless chicken thighs |
| 1/4 cup | soy sauce |
| 1 tbsp | rice vinegar |
| 1 tbsp | hoisin sauce |
| 1 tbsp | cornstarch |
| 1 tsp | sugar |
| 2 cloves | garlic, minced |
| 1 inch | ginger, minced |
| 2 tbsp | vegetable oil |
| 6 dried | red chilies |
| 2 green onions | chopped |
| 1 tbsp | sesame oil |
| 1 tbsp | sesame seeds |
| 1 cup | broccoli florets |
| — | salt to taste |
| — | black pepper to taste |
Instructions
- 1 Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
- 2 In a bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, sugar, garlic, and ginger to create a marinade.
- 3 Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- 4 Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- 5 Add dried red chilies and stir-fry for a few seconds until fragrant.
- 6 Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
- 7 Add broccoli florets and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
- 8 Stir in green onions and sesame oil, and cook for another minute.
- 9 Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 10 Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
Tips
For a spicier dish, increase the number of dried red chilies or add a dash of chili oil.
