Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch ginger, minced
2 tbsp vegetable oil
6 dried red chilies
2 green onions chopped
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 cup broccoli florets
salt to taste
black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  2. 2 In a bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, sugar, garlic, and ginger to create a marinade.
  3. 3 Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  4. 4 Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  5. 5 Add dried red chilies and stir-fry for a few seconds until fragrant.
  6. 6 Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  7. 7 Add broccoli florets and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  8. 8 Stir in green onions and sesame oil, and cook for another minute.
  9. 9 Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  10. 10 Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.

Tips

For a spicier dish, increase the number of dried red chilies or add a dash of chili oil.
