Ingredients
| 1 cup | all-purpose flour |
| 1/4 teaspoon | salt |
| 2 tablespoons | ghee |
| 1/4 cup | water |
| 1/2 cup | sugar |
Instructions
- 1 In a bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add 2 tablespoons of ghee and mix until crumbly.
- 2 Gradually add 1/4 cup of water and knead into a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- 3 In a saucepan, combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the syrup thickens slightly.
- 4 Add cardamom powder and chopped nuts to the syrup, mix well, and set aside.
- 5 Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into a thin circle.
- 6 Place a spoonful of the nut mixture in the center of each circle, fold over, and seal the edges.
- 7 Heat 1/4 cup ghee in a pan over medium heat and fry the ghari until golden brown on both sides.
- 8 Remove and drain excess ghee on paper towels. Serve warm.
Tips
Ensure the syrup is not too thick to avoid crystallization when cooled.
