Ingredients

1 cup fresh coriander leaves
2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves
1 medium green chili
1 inch ginger
2 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 tablespoon lemon juice
salt to taste
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. 1 Wash the coriander and mint leaves thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt.
  2. 2 Roughly chop the coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chili, ginger, and garlic.
  3. 3 In a blender, add the chopped coriander, mint, green chili, ginger, garlic, and cumin seeds.
  4. 4 Add lemon juice, salt, sugar, and water to the blender.
  5. 5 Blend all the ingredients until you get a smooth paste.
  6. 6 Taste and adjust the salt or lemon juice if needed.
  7. 7 Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl.

Tips

For a thicker consistency, reduce the amount of water. This chutney pairs well with parathas and snacks.
