Ingredients

Green Chickpea 1 cup Green Chickpea , fresh
oil 1 tablespoon Oil
Cumin 1 teaspoon Cumin , seeds
Onion 1 medium Onion , finely chopped
Tomato 1 medium Tomato , finely chopped
ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
red chili powder 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
coriander powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
garam masala 0.5 teaspoon Garam masala
salt Salt , to taste
Cilantro 2 tablespoons Cilantro , chopped

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add cumin seeds.
  2. 2 Once the cumin seeds splutter, add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
  3. 3 Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute until the raw smell disappears.
  4. 4 Add the chopped tomato and cook until it becomes soft and the oil starts to separate.
  5. 5 Stir in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
  6. 6 Add the fresh green chickpeas and stir to coat them with the spices.
  7. 7 Add a little water, cover the pan, and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the chickpeas are tender.
  8. 8 Uncover the pan, add garam masala, and salt to taste. Mix well.
  9. 9 Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.

Tips

For a richer flavor, you can add a teaspoon of ghee at the end before serving.
