Ingredients

10-12 | Green Chili , slit |

5 cloves | Garlic , finely chopped |

1/4 cup | Cilantro , chopped |
|
1 tablespoon | Peanut |
|
1 teaspoon | Cumin , seeds |

1 tablespoon | Oil |

— | Salt , to taste |
Instructions
- 1 Heat a pan on medium flame and dry roast the peanuts until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- 2 In the same pan, add oil and heat it on medium flame.
- 3 Add cumin seeds to the hot oil and let them splutter.
- 4 Add the green chilies and garlic cloves to the pan. Sauté until the chilies are slightly blistered and garlic is golden.
- 5 Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- 6 In a mortar and pestle or a grinder, add the roasted peanuts, sautéed chilies, garlic, and cumin seeds.
- 7 Add fresh coriander leaves and salt to taste.
- 8 Grind the mixture coarsely to form a thick paste.
- 9 Serve the Hirwa Thecha with bhakri or as a side with any meal.

Adjust the number of green chilies based on your spice preference.
