1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon ghee
oil for frying

Instructions

  1. 1 In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt.
  2. 2 Gradually add water to the flour mixture, stirring continuously to form a smooth batter.
  3. 3 Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat.
  4. 4 Once the ghee is hot, pour a ladleful of batter into the pan, spreading it evenly to form a thin pancake.
  5. 5 Cook the pancake until the edges start to lift and the bottom is golden brown.
  6. 6 Flip the pancake and cook the other side until golden brown.
  7. 7 Remove the pancake from the pan and place it on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  8. 8 Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
  9. 9 Serve the Holkur warm as a snack or accompaniment to a meal.
