Ingredients
| 1/4 cup | chana dal (split chickpeas) |
| 1/4 cup | moong dal (split green gram) |
| 1/4 cup | peanuts |
| 1/4 cup | fried gram (dalia) |
| 1/4 cup | whole dry corn (makka jola) |
| 1/4 cup | puffed rice (murmura) |
| 1/4 cup | flattened rice (poha) |
| 1/4 cup | cashew nuts |
| 1 tbsp | oil |
| 1/2 tsp | mustard seeds |
| 1/2 tsp | turmeric powder |
| 1/4 tsp | asafoetida (hing) |
| 4-5 | curry leaves |
| — | salt to taste |
| 1/2 tsp | red chili powder |
| 1/2 tsp | cumin seeds |
Instructions
- 1 Dry roast chana dal, moong dal, peanuts, and whole dry corn separately until they turn golden brown. Set aside to cool.
- 2 Heat oil in a large pan and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, asafoetida, and curry leaves.
- 3 Add the roasted dals, peanuts, cashew nuts, and whole dry corn to the pan and mix well.
- 4 Add fried gram, puffed rice, and flattened rice to the mixture and stir gently.
- 5 Season with salt and red chili powder. Mix thoroughly to ensure even coating.
- 6 Allow the mixture to cool completely before serving or storing.
