Ingredients

Chicken Breast 500 grams Chicken Breast , boneless and skinless
soy sauce 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
fish sauce 1 tablespoon Fish sauce
sugar 1 tablespoon Sugar , brown
Garlic 2 cloves Garlic , minced
Coriander 1 teaspoon Coriander , ground
Cumin 1 teaspoon Cumin , ground
turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
White Pepper 1 teaspoon White Pepper , ground
Coconut Milk 200 ml Coconut Milk , thick
vegetable oil 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
Peanut Sauce 1 cup Peanut Sauce , for serving
lime juice 1 tablespoon Lime juice
Bamboo Skewer Bamboo Skewer , soaked in water

Instructions

  1. 1 Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
  2. 2 In a bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, ground coriander, ground cumin, turmeric powder, and ground white pepper.
  3. 3 Add coconut milk and vegetable oil to the mixture and stir well.
  4. 4 Marinate the chicken pieces in the mixture for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  5. 5 Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked bamboo skewers.
  6. 6 Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  7. 7 Grill the chicken skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and slightly charred.
  8. 8 Serve the satay with peanut sauce and a squeeze of lime juice.

For an authentic taste, grill the satay over charcoal for a smoky flavor.
