1 tablespoon | Sugar , brown |

2 cloves | Garlic , minced |

1 teaspoon | Coriander , ground |
|
1 teaspoon | Cumin , ground |
|
1 teaspoon | Turmeric powder |
|
1 teaspoon | White Pepper , ground |
|
200 ml | Coconut Milk , thick |
|
2 tablespoons | Vegetable oil |
|
1 cup | Peanut Sauce , for serving |
|
1 tablespoon | Lime juice |
|
— | Bamboo Skewer , soaked in water |
Instructions
- 1 Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
- 2 In a bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, ground coriander, ground cumin, turmeric powder, and ground white pepper.
- 3 Add coconut milk and vegetable oil to the mixture and stir well.
- 4 Marinate the chicken pieces in the mixture for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- 5 Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked bamboo skewers.
- 6 Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- 7 Grill the chicken skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and slightly charred.
- 8 Serve the satay with peanut sauce and a squeeze of lime juice.
Tips
For an authentic taste, grill the satay over charcoal for a smoky flavor.
