| 3 cups | murmura (puffed rice) |
| 1 medium | onion, finely chopped |
| 1 medium | tomato, finely chopped |
| 1 small | cucumber, finely chopped |
| 1 small | boiled potato, diced |
| 2 tablespoons | mustard oil |
| 2 tablespoons | bhujia or sev |
| 2 tablespoons | roasted peanuts |
| 1 tablespoon | chopped coriander leaves |
| 1 teaspoon | black salt |
| 1 teaspoon | chaat masala |
| 1 teaspoon | red chili powder |
| 1 | green chili, finely chopped |
| 1 tablespoon | lemon juice |
Instructions
- 1 In a large mixing bowl, add the murmura (puffed rice).
- 2 Add the finely chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, and boiled potato to the bowl.
- 3 Drizzle the mustard oil over the mixture.
- 4 Add the bhujia or sev, roasted peanuts, and chopped coriander leaves.
- 5 Sprinkle black salt, chaat masala, and red chili powder over the ingredients.
- 6 Add the finely chopped green chili for extra heat.
- 7 Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the mixture.
- 8 Mix all the ingredients thoroughly using your hands or a large spoon, ensuring the spices and oil coat the puffed rice evenly.
- 9 Serve immediately to maintain the crispiness of the puffed rice.
Tips
For a more authentic flavor, use mustard oil as it adds a distinct pungency to the dish.
